GENERAL INFORMATION AND BOOKING INFORMATION

Altman Villa Rentals is proud to be the representative of the finest villas in this part of the world. Invariably they are the private holiday homes of people from around the globe who have chosen Barbados as their retreat in the Caribbean sun. The staff is included in the rate quoted for each villa. We can supply on prior request, and at an additional charge, roll-a-way beds, cribs and other children’s requirements, fax machine, TV/VCR and cellular phones. Any services booked through Altman Villa Rentals are subject to a 15% service charge.

Each staff member has one day off a week.

FOOD PACKAGES Pre-ordered food packages can be arranged which enable staff to provide a meal on arrival. These Standard food packs contain basic necessities for breakfast and a main meal. The cost of Food Pack (1) for two to four people is approximately US$185; the cost of Food Pack (2) for four to eight people is approximately US$250. Should you wish, we would be happy to provide an itemized list of the standard Food Packs for your consideration. Generally the supermarkets in Barbados are well stocked. Please note these are approximate rates and are therefore subject to change.

CAR HIRE This can be arranged through our office and current prices range from approximately US$335 per week for a mini-moke to US$390 per week for a 5-seater automatic sedan or 6-seater van, and US$420 for an air-conditioned sedan (this price is inclusive of insurance coverage). Driving permits must be secured locally at a cost of US$5. These permits are issued by the vehicle rental company on presentation of a valid license by drivers over 21 years of age. Vehicles will be delivered to your Villa shortly after your arrival, or at the airport on request. Please note these are approximate rates and are therefore subject to change.

TRANSFERS Upon request, arrangements will be made for you to be met at the Airport by a taxi which will take you to your accommodation and take you back to the Airport at the end of your holiday. The cost of this service is approximately US$60 - $200 per taxi round trip depending on the location of the villa and the number of people in the party.

DEPARTURE TIMES A mid-day departure time applies. Where circumstances permit, allowances are usually made for late departures.

BOOKING PROCEDURE A 25% deposit is required to confirm your booking. We ask that you note that the full invoice should be settled 60 days prior for winter bookings and 30 days prior to arrival for summer bookings. Please note that your deposit will only be accepted if requested accommodation is available. If bookings are made less than 60 days prior to arrival in Winter and 30 days prior in Summer, full payment must be made at the time of booking by wire transfer or bank certified cheque or bank draft.

CANCELLATION POLICY The following cancellation policy applies to all reservations cancelled by supplier or client.

DAYS BEFORE ARRIVAL

Refunds are made less any foreign exchange loss and finance charges.

Cancellation insurance should be purchased to cover the cost of cancellation due to unforeseen circumstances, and this is recommended. In the event that circumstances dictate that we are unable to provide the specific accommodation that has been confirmed, we will offer you alternative accommodation. In the event that such alternative accommodation is not acceptable, then by us making a full refund of all monies paid to us on account of the booking we shall be deemed free of all obligations.

SECURITY DEPOSITS

A security deposit of US$1000 is required at the time of booking for any outstanding bills or damages that may occur during a clients' stay. This deposit will be kept up to 4 weeks after departure unless released by Altman Villa Rentals prior to that date.

ALTMAN VILLA RENTALS MAY TERMINATE THE USE OF THE VILLA BY A GUEST IN THE EVENT THAT:

1. the guest or his invitees behaves in a manner which constitutes a nuisance;
2. the guest or his invitees behaves in a manner which in the opinion of Altman Villa Rentals is likely to cause damage to the villa or any of the fixtures or fittings in that villa;
3. the guest or his invitees behaves in a manner which renders it impossible or unreasonable for Altman Villa Rentals to continue to provide any of the services to the villa or to the guest or his invitees; or
4. the guest or his invitees behaves in any manner which is not consistent with the fit an proper use of the villa.
